First semester
Academic session of around 500 hours, provided by INP- ENSEEIHT permanent professors and experts from the aerospace Industry bringing current knowledge and experience, including:
- Lectures, tutorials, experimental and practical sessions, online exercises, practical works in team, simulation with MATLAB, OPENSAND, or specific software,
- A project addressing the design and dimensioning of a complete satcom system
- A tutored project aiming to gain system-wide knowledge on a dedicated system
- Conferences, demonstrations in laboratory, experimentations on links, …
Part 1 - Basic techniques
Signal processing for communications, digital communications, coding applied to the satellite channel, spread spectrum techniques, network & telecommunication protocols, radio frequency links, digital filter banks, digital communications receivers and SDR technology

Part 2 - Space techniques & Applications
Introduction to satellite communications, communications satellites, satellite Payloads, earth stations and terminals, satellite System Design project, introduction to satellite navigation systems, optical satellite communications
Satellite based computer networks, mobile & multimedia satellite communications, markets, regulations and Applications of Satcom , project Management
Part 3 - Tutored project
Second semester
Students have to conduct a professional thesis in the aerospace Industry or in a laboratory, in France or abroad, supervised by a tutor from the host organisation and from ENSEEIHT. The thesis is concluded by the preparation of a report and a public defense.
