Toulouse INP-ENSEEIHT is at the center of an economic and industrial metropolis

Toulouse INP-ENSEEIHT is a top-ranking, state-funded French grande école school of engineering which delivers Masters degree level diplomas under the authority of the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Research. Application pre-requisites include two years of preparatory undergraduate studies (or equivalent courses validated by the school). The first year of grande école engineering studies is equivalent to a Bachelor's degree. Toulouse INP-ENSEEIHT is affiliated with l’Institut Mines Télécom, has a long-standing convention with Ecole Polytechnique, and is one of the six members of the Institut National Polytechnique de Toulouse.

Founded in 1907, Toulouse INP-ENSEEIHT or ENSEEIHT (pronounced  « N set  » and commonly referred to as « N7 ») is located in downtown Toulouse. Each year the school delivers 450 engineering diplomas, 100 Master's degrees, 100 PhDs, and boasts an active professional network of more than 10,000 engineers.

N7 offers high-level engineering training for complex scientific and technical competence relative to a broad range of energy, environmental and digital technology domains. Over 60% of our students are recruited during their end-of-study internship and 96% sign contracts within two months of graduation.

A word from the Director, Jean-François Rouchon

Founded in 1907, Toulouse INP-ENSEEIHT is one of the oldest and largest engineering schools in France. It has constantly evolved over the years to respond to new challenges, and has welcomed renowned researchers, professors and engineers.

Toulouse INP-ENSEEIHT has developed a wide range of industrial partnerships. Our extensive alumni network has fostered key socio-economic links for training, research and technological transfer purposes.

Close collaboration with our partners allowed us to recently transform the engineering training we offer by successfully structuring our courses into three main departments (Digital Technology, Computer Science and Networks, Electrical Engineering, and Energetics, Fluid Mechanics and the Environment). In 2018, brand-new infrastructures were inaugurated at ENSEEIHT to improve study facilities and the general quality of academic life for our students.

Our school has built an extensive network of international relations and proposes numerous possibilities for experiences abroad to our students, professors and researchers.

INP-ENSEEIHT enjoys a solid scientific background and the innovative power developed by partnerships with the CNRS National Scientific Research Council and teams from the Federal University of Toulouse. We have a long-earned national and international reputation for excellence in research and training, and today our school is in an ideal position to respond to the two main challenges posed by the digital revolution and energy transitions. Toulouse INP-ENSEEIHT is currently clearly identified as the school for digital technology, the environment and future transport systems.

The engineering profession is in constant evolution. Technological changes are increasingly impacting our codes of behavior, generating significant, new ethical issues. Our ambition is for Toulouse INP-ENSEEIHT to continue to develop as a training reference for responsible, engaged engineers who are renowned for their know-how, entrepreneurial mindset and their capacity to innovate with ethical, environmental and corporate responsibility.
